Is there even a plaza downtown?

A small group of people had gathered together at a plaza downtown. There were only about ten of them, but they had a good reason for being there. Just a few days ago, this town was completely normal, but then out of the blue, a bunch of werewolves came and tried to take over.

Fortunately for them, these werewolves' plans backfired and wiped out almost the entire pack.

There were just two left, according to one source. So the town was gathered to take care of this problem. Matt was leading the group.

"I say we take a vote. Whoever we think is a werewolf is going to have to go!"

There was a shout of consensus among the group. Secretly, there were two werewolves in there, but they didn't dare reveal themselves. When they're outnumbered 4 to 1, their odds weren't great.

"Tell us again, Matt," said Kegan, "why we can't vote for you?"

"Yeah," said Brad, "what if we think it's you?"

"Whoa, now hold on just one second," said Matt defensively. "I was signing up for classes all day yesterday. It clearly wasn't me."

"Oh. I guess that makes sense," said Deb.

The group all voted, and put little slips of paper in a hat. Molly went around collecting the votes and brought them up to the front.

"This is it," she said as she tallied the votes on a chalkboard. "Whoever gets the most votes is a goner."

The tallies were read, and Molly's face went pale.

"Who is it?" asked Johnathan. "Who are we going to kill off?"

Before anything was said though, something strange happened in the crowd. It started with just one person, but it soon spread quickly throughout the group. People were pulling torches and pitchforks out of their pockets and purses and were starting to get out of control.

The Troublemaker had started a riot.

"Look on the board," shouted Meighan. "Look at the names!"

Sure enough, Molly and Marcos tied for the most votes. Under normal circumstances, there would have been a revote. Since there was a riot though, things got out of control.

"Kill'em both!" shouted Stephanie.

"Let's get'em!" yelled Kyle.

Soon the small crowd, weapons in hand, started chasing Molly and Marcos around the plaza. They were doing a pretty good job at it too. Within minutes, both people were caught and bound. People raised their torches and pitchforks, and were inches from them when Molly started shouting.

"Wait! You can't do this. I forbid it! I'm the Governor. I will not allow you to kill me."

Marcos gained some confidence. "Me too?" he asked.

"Oh no. I can't do everything. I'm saving my skin first. Sorry dude."

The group let Molly go, and turned on Marcos.

"No wait!" He pulled out little dolls that slightly resembled some of the people in the group. "Ha!" he yelled as he threw them into the torches and pitchforks.

Nothing happened. Apparently his Voodooist powers only work on the dead.

"Uhh." he started, "I'll tell everyone what you did! Everyone knows I'm the Town Gossip."

"I think we're all going to know what we all did anyway," said Matt. Marcos was suddenly white as a ghost as they raised their weapons.

And only the remaining townspeople really did know what happened to Marcos that night. Bummer for Marcos.

Here are yesterday's votes:

Molly: 3
Marcos: 3
