They didn't even stand a chance…

Theo was walking home from school one day. It was five o'clock and he was leaving the library as usual. People were passing him left and right, going along their merry ways. He was preoccupied though. It had been an unusually quiet past couple of weeks. He hasn't killed anyone since he left his werewolf ways. He'd been feeling a bit of a withdrawal. He was thinking… thinking…

Done, he decided, it'll just be a quick trip. He turned on his heel and headed another way. He was halfway to his destination when he stopped.

"Oh, I should probably show her. That'd be fun."

In a flash, he was down in the basement of Park Plaza. He and Alaina were talking. He told her about his secret lair he used to use as a former werewolf and wanted to see if she wanted to go see it with him. He was sure there was no threat now because all there werewolves had been killed off. In just a few minutes they were off. Not much of a date really for a pair of lovers, but hey, it was a change.

He brought Alaina to some obscure part of campus. They weaved in and out of buildings, under trees, and over gardens. They even passed Brianna, who was headed to the temple, wanting to get a little bit of sanctuary during these hectic midterms. Finally, they stopped somewhere Alaina had never been to before. It was just behind the Wilk, right between the Maeser building and the Tanner building. The MOA was right next to them and they had a great close-up view of the Swicket.

"Funny. I thought I knew campus really well, but I've never been here…" Alaina said.

"This is where I used to come with my werewolf pack a few weeks ago to plan our next kill. I just wanted to come here to relive the good ol'—"

Suddenly out of nowhere, several things happened in quick succession. First, a werewolf walked into their hiding place and for a split second the of them looked at each other horrified. Next, the rest of the pack of werewolves followed in behind the first. Then, out of nowhere, a raging drunk stumbled in on the scene and everyone looked at them.

It was pandemonium.

In just a few minutes, Theo was on the ground, dead. He had been attacked by the wolves and by the drunk. Alaina lay next to him with her hand in his. The coroner later determined she died of heart failure, having lost the will to live after Theo was killed. It also may have been from the fact that she was completely crushed when Theo was killed and fell on top of her. The drunk had already stumbled away, yelling something about onion rings, when the werewolves heard another person coming in. They fled, not wanting to look guilty at the scene of two deaths. The dungeon master stepped into the room.

"Theo, you're under arrest for—oh…"

  3. We'll have to see about that when the voting comes in. I mean, I've been seeing an abnormal number of shadows coming my way these past few hours, as if someone or someones were watching me. But it's probably nothing, right? Right??
